"Christmas in July" Toy Drive

God's heart for the hurting, oppressed and marginalized is clear. The mission of generosity for His people is woven throughout the scriptures.

Deuteronomy 10:18 says, "He ensures that orphans and widows receive justice. He shows love to the foreigners living among you and gives them food and clothing." 

Psalm 68:5-6 says, "A father of the fatherless and a judge for the widows, is God in His holy habitation. God sets the lonely in families." 

This summer we have an opportunity to support this very mission in what we are calling, "Christmas in July"!

Our Denver HOPEww chapter is partnering with Foster Fete,  a nonprofit whose mission it is to make foster children's birthdays special and bright. Foster children often have birthdays that go forgotten and uncelebrated. Foster Fete aims to change that. 

As a congregation, we are organizing a TOY DRIVE to donate to this fantastic group. Foster Fete celebrates foster children of all ages from 0-20 years old. We are asking every family to bring a new unwrapped gift to our congregational service on July 24.
