The Denver Church of Christ is honored to keep the spirit of community strong through our ongoing collaboration with HOPEww.
As we navigate life post-COVID, we've broadened our volunteer opportunities to better serve our neighbors. From supporting local refugees and feeding the hungry, to nurturing young leaders in our HOPE Scouts Program, there's a place for everyone to lend a hand. We also welcome you to join our outreach services for our unhoused neighbors or "dig in" through our community garden, fostering both care and growth in our local area!

Denver is fortunate to host several large refugee communities. As individuals and families arrive , the needs vary from furniture, groceries, household supplies to relational and language support. We strive to work in partnership with established organizations to help mitigate these needs and build deeper relationships with these communities.
The purpose of this partnership is to connect Afghan refugee students who recently arrived in the United States with more exposure to the English language through conversation and read-alouds.
Come join for the opportunity to partner with a local retirement community garden in Denver. We will be helping with various tasks around the garden. Our goal is to not only help with physical tasks but also to build great relationships with the community members we interact with.
HOPE Scouts is a wonderful opportunity to promote leadership and community engagement among the next generation! Grades K - 8 work together to identify ways to serve and support their local community.
Several times a year, we are approached with significant needs within our communities. These needs may include school supplies, canned food items, toys and/or medical supplies. We are honored to be able to support our schools, food pantries, rehabilitation centers, churches and hospitals in these ways.
Our goal is to serve and support our church community of disciples and their loved ones/neighbors. We will aim to provide service in the following (but not limited to) areas: work within and outside of the home, errand-running, meals and clothing as needed, Bible study and prayer, companionship and providing connection. to outside resources when necessary.
Meals that Heal is a program designed to facilitate deeper connections across different cultures and backgrounds. Within a safe environment, two different families or households meet together to enjoy a special meal and engage in gentle, guided conversation exploring culture.
This training is a two part training course offered to help volunteers grow in their personal understanding of identity, and how identity may impact the communities in which they enter. The training is offered in a small group setting, and is available in-person or online.
