Ready for something new but more family-engaged for our young children? In lieu of our traditional "Kids Camp", the church will be organizing a site to pitch our tents, park our campers (or vans), and experience the wild outdoors as a family with our little ones and other families throughout our regions. Registration will be limited and open soon!
Signing up to volunteer at our church is the embodiment of its heart and spirit. It's more than contributing your time; it's about becoming a vital part of our community's mission to serve and love. Each volunteer role is a thread in the fabric of our church, weaving together a tapestry of compassion, unity, and action. By volunteering, you actively participate in our shared calling, making a tangible difference and reinforcing the foundation of our faith community. In essence, your involvement not only meets the immediate needs of our church but also fosters a deeper sense of belonging and purpose among us all.

In life's journey, we often find ourselves at a crossroads, facing a decision that not only shapes our destiny but also influences the world around us. This decision lies between two divergent paths: the road of ignorance, often walked by the fool, and the path of wisdom, trodden by those who seek understanding and truth. Our latest sermon explores the profound wisdom found in the Book of Proverbs, shedding light on these paths so that we may discern their destinations.
Jan 7th 2023, Resolutions of the Soul: Fearing God for a Fulfilling Year
The Bible states in several different places that the fear of God is the beginning of wisdom. There is no way to attain true wisdom or walk the path of wisdom without fearing God. Yet, what does it mean to fear God? What does that fear look like? There is a difference between living in terror of punishment or judgment vs. having a clear understanding of who we are and who God is and why the differences need to inform our humility, sobriety, and willingness to heed His call in our lives.
Jan 14th, The Healthy Fear: Balancing Godly Reverence and Life's Risks
Fear plays a vital role in human survival. Without fear, we take dangerous and unwise risks with our lives. So what does that mean for our Christianity? What does it look like to be a faithful Christian that walks intimately with God, yet also has a healthy fear of that same God? In what ways does that fear serve us positively as we seek God and learn to draw near to Him?
Jan 21st, Resolute Fear: Choosing God Over Worldly Anxieties
Perhaps the most common command in the Bible is “Do not Fear.” That is interesting considering that within that same Biblical text, we are also called “fear God”. It turns out that it is a healthy and mature development of our fear of God that teaches and trains us not to live in fear of this world or anyone in it.
Jan 28th, Habit of Victory: Trusting God in the Face of Fear
There is a Biblical pattern behind the notion of victory and glory. Those who are taught and then accept the lessons to fear God and by that are trained not to fear men experience moments of amazing and miraculous triumph. Moses, David, and Hezekiah are object lessons in the path to victory in such a fallen and evil world. They each chose, out of their righteous fear of God, to trust in His word over and against the threats of the powerful people that threatened each of them. Their stories (and many others) teach us that choosing to fear God can solve seemingly insurmountable problems and bring about the most unlikely victories in life.
